SANELA LIKIC
What advice would you give your
daughter about following her passions
or building her career?
My daughter is still very young, and I
understand that life and big decisions
can sometimes feel a lot to navigate.
I always reassure her that I am there
for her and that she can lean on me
whenever she needs support. At
the same time, I try to teach her the
importance of working hard and building
strong habits while she is young.
She was only 19 when I brought her
into the business, and at the time I
felt incredibly guilty, worrying that my
decision might have been sel昀椀sh. But
I could not have been more wrong.
Watching her grow through that
experience showed me how capable
and grounded she is. Four years later,
she became my business partner, which
makes me incredibly proud.
I want to lead by example and show her
that she can pursue her goals and build
the life she dreams of. I can only give her
advice based on the experiences I have
had and the challenges I have overcome,
and I hope those lessons help her feel
con昀椀dent to follow her own path.

What’s something your daughter has
taught you either in business or in life?
My daughter has taught me patience
and perspective. Sometimes I forget
how young she still is and assume she
already has the life experience to make
certain decisions. She reminds me to
slow down, listen, and see things from a
different point of view - even when my
“know-it-all” side wants to take over.
She has also taught me to look after
myself. After a lifetime of putting
everyone else’s needs 昀椀rst, she reminds
me to pause, take a breath, and do small
but meaningful things for myself. That
lesson has helped me become not only
a better mother, but also a stronger and
more balanced leader.
