Let’s be real: being
a teenager today is
tough. Social media,
climate anxiety,
academic pressure,
political uncertainty,
and the constant buzz
of technology — all
while trying to 昀椀gure
out who you are and
where you 昀椀t in.
The teen years should
be a time of growth,
connection, and
joy — but for many,
they’ve become
昀椀lled with stress,
disconnection, and
overwhelm. That’s
why teen wellness
isn’t just important —
it’s essential.
And thankfully, things
are starting to change.
From global wellness
retreats to schoolbased mindfulness
programs, a new era of
teen-focused support
is emerging.
What Is Teen Wellness?
Teen wellness is about more than just 昀椀tness
and food. It’s about helping young people
feel balanced and supported across all areas
of life — physically, mentally, emotionally,
socially, and spiritually.
Every teen is a complex, multifaceted human
being — and they deserve more than a onesize-昀椀ts-all approach.
As Professor Lisa Miller from Columbia
University describes it, today’s teens are
suffering from “diseases of despair”: anxiety,
depression, addiction and suicidality. And these
challenges aren’t just due to individual factors
— they’re symptoms of a world in turmoil.
But there is hope. And there are solutions.
