Ways to celebrate
International Women’s
Day 2026
You do not need a formal event
to make the day meaningful.
Here are some simple and
powerful ways to take part.
Share stories
Celebrate the women who
have inspired you. Share
their achievements and their
positive impact on your life
or workplace.
Support women led initiatives
Buy from women led
businesses, donate to women
focused charities or join
community programs that
support women and girls.
Give your time
Volunteer, mentor or simply
listen to someone who
needs support. Your
encouragement may be the
boost someone needs.
Advocate for fairness
Promote equal opportunities,
fair pay and respectful
workplaces. Speak up when
something does not feel right.
Create space for conversations
Start a discussion at work or
with friends about equality and
what the theme GIVE TO GAIN
means to you.
Why the day matters
Across the world, women continue
to face inequality, discrimination
and barriers to opportunity.
International Women’s Day helps
keep these challenges visible and
reminds us that meaningful change
requires collective effort.
The theme for 2026 encourages
us to be active participants in
that change. GIVE TO GAIN is
a reminder that generosity and
progress go hand in hand. When we
support women and girls, we create
a world where everyone bene昀椀ts.
So on 8 March, take a moment to
celebrate, re昀氀ect and contribute.
Give what you can. Support
someone around you. Lift up a
voice that needs to be heard.
Together we can gain a future that
is brighter, more equal and full of
possibility for all.
Fernwood Foundation is committed to
uplifting women. That's why we partner
with like-minded charities dedicated to
helping women who need it most.
