“I want to say to her, let’s
enjoy this time together
because it’s not going to
last forever,” she re昀氀ects.
For her, being present and
cherishing the journey is
just as important as the
achievements themselves.
Sanela’s journey
hasn’t been without
its challenges, but she
approaches life with equal
parts determination and
humour. Early in her career,
she encountered moments
where her accent became
a talking point. “I’d be in
a supermarket, and when
I spoke, people would
turn to look - it wasn’t
what they were used to,”
she recalls with a laugh.
But instead of letting it
discourage her, she turned
it into a badge of pride.
“Even with my accent, look
what I’ve managed to do!”
she says. It’s a testament
to her ability to embrace
her identity and focus on
what truly matters.
So, what can we learn
from Sanela? Hardship
doesn’t de昀椀ne who
you are. That family
and connection are
the foundation for a
meaningful life. That no

if you’re willing to give
yourself a chance. And
most importantly, that you
are capable of far more
than you think.
“If I can do this, so can
you,” she says with a smile.
“Why not you?”
So, why not you? Why
not take the chance,
back yourself, and see
what happens? Because
if Sanela has taught us
anything, it’s that ordinary
people can achieve
extraordinary things - if
they just give themselves
the chance.
